#PreTeens: Anyla and the CuLangBiz Kids
by Ty Bell Stennis
When Anyla Adams leaves her middle school, her home and everything she knows to attend boarding school, she is forced to overcome new challenges and is faced with surprises good and bad, including the arrival of her nemesis Daisy Butcher.
Anyla loves the school and her friends—a group that has deemed themselves The CuLangBiz Kids--just as much as she loves fashion. The name CuLangBiz is derived from culture, language and business, all focuses at Anyla’s new school. Her friends are international group hailing from such diverse locations as England, Japan, Germany, China, France and Puerto Rico; they form friendships and learn how to navigate boarding school as a team. Anyla continues to develop her fashion line in the hopes of winning the big MSP prize, while her friends develop their own entrepreneurial ideas.
Anyla and the CuLangBiz Kids is just over 21,000 words. It is the first book of a series, “Introducing the CLB Kids.” Ty Bell Stennis grew up in Mississippi, where the story is set. "Over the past several years, I have traveled extensively around the world meeting people from all walks of life. My travels and desire to learn about other cultures and languages impelled me to create a brand that had a presence where children from all walks of life could learn as well. An early interest in business encouraged me to create the brand CuLangBiz Kids," says Ty Bell Stennis.
