Wow, been looking for a great new Italian Cookbook and here it is. I’ve been ready this authors books for a couple years now and I just love them. I’ve ready Sunday Sauce and La Tavola, and use the recipes all the time. When it comes to Italian Cooking the author really knows his stuff; how to write a great recipe and accompany them with wonderful little stories on the dishes, the people and history that surrounds it.
Grandma Bellino’s Italian Cookbook has a wonderful selection of recipes of which some are very popular, while others are more obscure. I love both, and I’m always looking for rare recipes of which this book has a number of. Most of the recipes are Sicilian, like Sicilian Rice Balls, Eggplant Caponata, and Pasta alla Norma. I tried the Caponata and a couple of the pasta dished, and everything came out great. Can’t wait to try some more. So, if you love Italian Food and are looking for some new recipes, this is the book for you.
