In the second book of the series, "Monjee the Monkey", Monjee has trouble obeying his mommy.
When he asks his mommy if he can go to the river to play, she makes it very clear that the river is off-limits; he is to completely stay away from the river! Monjee has played there many times before, sometimes alone; other times with friends, and has never encountered the dangers his mom talks about. Could she be right about the river being a dangerous place? Will he go again to find out?

This is an exceptional book in the series about Monjee the Monkey and his adventures. This time round author Jasmine Bejar explores the adventures of Monjee and the troubles he gets into for disobeying his own mother. The book is a masterpiece, especially considering its young target audience.
Jasmine is actually demonstrated in the simplest way possible the price of disobedience. In other words, his story teaches children a lesson about obedience and the need to listen to parents. I highly recommend this reading because children will definitely like the creative illustrations as well as the rhyming style the book is written in.
Definitely a five-star piece!
A native of Southern CA, Jasmine has always had an overactive imagination, and would often entertain her family with stories as a young child. Her paternal grandmother encouraged her to write her tales down, thus enabling her to develop a passion for reading and writing at a young age.
The same things make her happy now as when she was a kid: playing on swings, coloring books, and writing.
Jasmine graduated from California Polytechnic University, and believes that early literacy is the key to every child's academic future. She is currently writing her next children's book, and can be reached at email@example.com
