Little kids know that dogs don't lay eggs, or do they? "My Dog Laid an Egg" is a cute tale about a boy named Leo and his dog Moler. One morning Leo wakes up to find that Moler has an egg in his dog bed. He comes up with a variety of possibilities as to why the egg is there (and there seems to be a theme to the guesses...). My daughter was giggling right from the title as well as at some of the sillier ideas. The ending is satisfying and perfect for kids who are interested in which type of animals lay eggs. It is good for a lesson on making predictions as well.
