Book Promotion….Who needs it?
Research shows that nearly 70% of self-published authors make less than $500 in book sales from one book, and with the massive influx of self-published authors clambering through the Amazon gates on Kindle E boats, it’s getting increasingly difficult to be seen by readers before springing a leak and being seen as just another ASIN wreckage.
At the BCBC we continue to work hard finding new ways to support authors using our promotional platforms, and have had great success in contributing to a growing number of authors’ bottom line. Here we make no promises of a mass increase in book sales but center our pledge on creating additional free and affordable exposure hotspots outside authors’ blogs and social media, where more and more readers are choosing to hang out and find their next big read.
Our first six months as a dot com website has seen over 450 authors use our “Author Billboards” and with the inclusion of our “Interview With An Author” service, many more savvy authors are agreeing that book sites like the Black Caviar Book Club are becoming a true validation for any writer wishing to pump up their book exposure. As the year moves on we will be adding more weapons to our promotional armory and making it near impossible for authors and readers to dodge a BCBC promotional arrow.
How Market A Book
There are many ways to market a book from building your own blog and social media platform to investing time and money in outside book publicity. The one fact that will always ring true for every hungry independent author is that self-promotion is the name of the game.
