Autobiographical (Domestic Violence): That Woman
by Aalina Nyx
Autobiographical (Domestic Violence): That Woman.
We all know "that woman." The abused, battered, beaten woman who just doesn't leave.
We judge her. We criticize her. But do we ever realize just how easy it is... to become her?
This is my story. My fall into domestic violence. My regrets, my heartbreak. This is my story of living more than a decade with domestic abuse.
A portion of all sales will be donated to local women's shelters to help other women escaping domestic violence.

Aalina Nyx has done it. "That Woman" is one of those stories that you won't soon forget. It may be a quick read but it is a very powerful one. There's no graphic details of the domestic violence which is good but you do get to really feel how she felt living with daily abuse and all that goes with it.
The story starts out by grabbing you quickly and brings your through her story and her children's. Thankfully she escaped and she speaks directly to the reader that may be living with domestic violence and seeking to escape. Highly recommended read.
