Apocalyptic: Mercy (The Last Army book 1)
Rebecca Stirling is a carefree high school girl from Queens, NY, whose only concern on a warm Tuesday morning is getting to school in time for her math test. That all changes when the sun turns to darkness, a devastating earthquake wreaks havoc across the globe, and the legions of hell roam the streets.
After barely escaping the city with their lives, Rebecca and her best friend Karla must adapt to a new life in the town of New Jerusalem, where a charismatic young pastor has established a safe haven for refugees of the earthquake—an event the locals claim the preacher had foreseen long before their arrival.
As the remnants of the military struggle to keep the evil looming over the rest of the island at bay, and a series of incidents turn the town against her, Rebecca takes a path that leads her straight into the arms of a mysterious man who'll help her gather the skills and determination to survive in the face of bottomless evil—an evil that comes from both the depths of hell and the hearts of men.

I'm a Salvadorian author writing under the pen name "John Freeter". Why use a pen name? Well, if you've read some of my stuff you should know that hiding my identity was clearly the smart move on my part.
I like video games, war movies, anime, and British comedies. It probably won't surprise you that I also like to read. My tastes sometimes lean more towards the literary (I particularly like golden-age Russian authors), but I'm always on the lookout for well-written, exciting (and hopefully funny) genre novels.
