#Agnostic: The Gospel According to Femigod
by Femi Opaneye
A fact-based, thought-provoking, unashamed dissection of the dominant themes that govern both mainstream and organised religion, from the perspective of an author who used to be fanatical.
The author believes that everything - without exception - should be open to scrutiny, including what many see as a taboo subject.
Whilst the skeptic will nod, the religious will scratch their heads.
Why Femigod? There’s no desire to start a new religion, nor an intention to commence a new age movement. It’s not the author’s desire to be worshipped, nor does he see himself as the reincarnation of an enlightened spiritual individual.
The author’s name is Femi and his simple contention is this: that all humans are powerful beings, much more powerful than we are led to believe. A god is a powerful being, and as we venture on our spiritual quest, we should claim this for ourselves: I am god. We are all god.
Originally from Nigeria, but raised (predominantly) in the UK, he decided to start this blog in September 2011 following a conversation with his father. (Feel free to read the blog post here – http://femigod.com/what-do-you-want.) The purpose of the blog was one of exploration of what he wanted from life.
Those views have since changed over time but that’s irrelevant. Since May 2010, he has lived in Hong Kong.
This blog and everything featured is a culmination of all his experiences, both past and present.
His first eBook, The Gospel According to Femigod, published September 2013.
He says it like this: “I have a bunch of words bouncing around in my head. I put them down on paper.”
Otherwise, he is opinionated, honest, a libertarian minarchist, capitalist and agnostic. His interests are reading, writing, staying fit, travelling and being creative.
He who has ears, let him hear.
